According to some news next Ryan’s movie project should be ‘The actor’ which is currently in pre-production stage.

Ryan Gosling is set to star and produce The movie ‘The Actor, an adaptation of Donald E. Westlake’s novel ‘Memory’.

Duke Johnson will direct the film and produce with Abigail Spencer under their Innerlight Films production banner. Ryan, who will also produce alongside Ken Kao, will play the lead role of Paul Cole, who must deal with his damaged memory as he struggles to rebuild his life after being left for dead and hospitalized in 1950s Ohio.

Cole follows a thrilling journey to find home, love and ultimately himself. Ryan’s and Kao’s partnership follows their recent project announcements of Phil Lord and Chris Miller’s Project Hail Mary at MGM, and Leigh Whannell’s Wolfman at Universal.

In a competitive situation, Parasite distributor Neon has come out on top for North American rights to Ryan Gosling package The Actor, the next movie from Anomalisa director Duke Johnson. We hear the pre-buy is in the mid seven-figure range. The hot virtual EFM project is based on the best-selling noir novel Memory by Donald E. Westlake. Johnson penned the script alongside Stephen Cooney. Johnson’s Anomalisa collaborator Charlie Kaufman has newly boarded as executive producer.

Last March Casting directors were holding a talent search for a speaking role in the upcoming feature film. Jennifer Venditti of JV8 inc is leading the casting for the upcoming movie. Jennifer Venditti is a long-time New York City-based casting director. She is known for traveling the world street scouting for advertising, fashion, and film. Venditti’s style is finding diverse talent through otherwise ignored traditional casting methods.
